Open Access Policy

Kosovo International Journal of Engineering and Technology (KIJET) is a fully open access journal. All articles published in KIJET are freely and permanently accessible online immediately upon publication, without any subscription or registration barriers.

1. Open Access Statement

KIJET provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Readers are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles without asking prior permission from the publisher or the authors.

2. License Terms

All articles published in KIJET are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY) unless otherwise stated.

Under this license:

  • Users may share and adapt the material for any purpose, including commercial use.

  • Appropriate credit must be given to the original author(s) and the journal.

  • A link to the license must be provided.

  • Any changes made must be clearly indicated.

3. Copyright Policy

Authors retain the copyright of their work and grant KIJET the right of first publication. The work is simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons license that allows others to share the work with acknowledgment of the authorship and initial publication in this journal.

4. Article Processing Charges (APCs)

KIJET does not charge any submission fees or article processing charges (APCs) to authors. The submission, peer review, and publication processes are carried out without any financial obligation for authors.

5. Archiving and Preservation

To ensure long-term digital preservation and accessibility, KIJET supports archiving through:

  • OJS internal archiving system

  • Author self-archiving in institutional and subject repositories

  • Personal or institutional websites, with proper citation to the published version

6. Compliance with Open Access Standards

KIJET complies with international open access principles and supports the guidelines of:

  • Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)

  • Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)

  • Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI)

7. Access to Published Content

All published articles are available on the journal’s website in full-text format and can be accessed permanently without restrictions.
